Abstract

Repair of femoral and anastomotic aneurysms was performed in 85 patients; 16 (Group A) were giant aneurysms (>6.5 cm) and 69 (Group B) measured 3.5 to 6.5 cm. In Group A, five presented with rupture and 11 with local compressive symptoms. One patient in Group A died following repair of a ruptured aneurysm (6.2%). There was no operative mortality in group B. Time from index operation to repair in Group A was 9.8 ± 3.5 years and 6.3 ± 1.8 years in Group B (P < .0001). Intraoperative blood loss and intra operative time was greater in Group A as compared with Group B.
