Abstract

Patient is a 72-year-old male that was taken to the OR for robot-assisted cholecystectomy secondary to acute cholecystitis. Upon entry into the abdomen, dense omental adhesions to the gallbladder were present. After take down, the gallbladder appeared to have acute on chronic inflammation with necrotic posterior wall and abscess cavity along the lateral edge. With intra-operative use of ICG and firefly technology, we were able to discern what initially appeared to be the cystic duct was instead the common bile duct aswell as an aberrant right hepatic duct that was visualized posteriorly and dissected away. Patient did well post-operatively.
