The Medical Institutional Repositories in Libraries (MIRL) Symposium focuses on Institutional Repository (IR) management, curation, and promotion in a health sciences environment. MIRL is a platform-neutral conference. The goal of MIRL is to gather together IR practitioners and those with an interest in IRs at hospitals, academic medical centers, and other health settings for discussions and sharing of case studies and best practices for digital archiving of institutional content.

Thank you to those who joined us for the fourth annual MIRL Symposium, held on November 21, 2024! Slides are now available! Check back soon for presentation recordings.

MIRL 2024 featured a keynote by Dr. Jennifer Beamer, SPARC | Visiting Program Officer US Repository Network, who highlighted the strategic mission of USRN to create a more cohesive network of repositories in the US, recent activities of the network, and what role medical IRs can play in the stakeholder community. Dr. Beamer's keynote is titled "Breaking Down Silos: USRN and the Future of Repository Networks."
