Lightning Talk
Date

Description
As funders require increased sharing, researchers are facing increased requests where they have concerns about sharing the data both in and beyond repositories. In order to anticipate these requests and establish a mechanism for response, the University of Illinois Chicago developed a data policy and framework to address sharing requests where a research is unwilling to share the data, unable to share the data, or they feel that the request makes them or their study subjects unsafe. This lightning talk will provide an overview of the considerations of the policy, the framework of the committee who will implement it, and the outcomes we hope for with providing this resource.
