Description
NPATHS, A Nursing Program for Advancing Training in Health and Social Determinants, is an NIH funded R25 initiative, with the goal of bringing together nurses and allied health professionals to improve their understanding of social determinants of health (SDOH). Selected scholars participate in a 9-month long training program consisting of a 4 day in person intensive, monthly webinars, learning modules and a scholar summit where they will showcase their work. Content experts provided materials for the development of five learning modules related to SDoH and health equity research. An Advisory Committee (AC) consisting of both patient advisors from Henry Ford Health and a variety of academic voices from a variety of institutions came together to review the e-Learning modules for the first cohort of NPATHS scholars.
